Colored guitar string ball ends

Pat Metheny knows.

When you’re famous for having one of the best ears in the business, and played with Bowie and Hancock, you don’t settle for any old string.

Pat’s String: XL Chromes

Not only does he use them, he co-created them with us in the 1980s.

11-50 JAZZ LIGHT, XL CHROMES ELECTRIC GUITAR STRINGS

Pro-Winder

Renowned as a guitar collector, Pat and his trusty tech Andre Cholmondeley use a high-quality peg winder with a built-in string clipper & bridge pin puller for quick changes.

About Pat Metheny

With the release of his first album in 1975, Bright Size Life, Pat reinvented the traditional "jazz guitar" sound for a new generation of players. Since then, he has continued to redefine the genre by utilizing new technology and constantly working to evolve the improvisational and sonic potential of his instrument. His body of work includes compositions for solo guitar, small ensembles, electric and acoustic instruments, large orchestras, ballet pieces and even the robotic instruments of his Orchestrion project. He is also a devoted musical educator.
