"I have relied on D'Addario strings and accessories since 1982. They're the best, in every regard."

About Andy Summers

Andrew James Summers, born on 31 December 1942 in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, moved to Bournemouth, Dorset, as a child. He took up guitar at 14 and played in local clubs by 17. Summers worked in a music store frequented by Robert Fripp. Mostly self-taught, he studied classical guitar at California State University, Northridge, until 1973. Summers played with Zoot Money's Big Roll Band, Dantalian's Chariot, and briefly with Soft Machine. He recorded with Eric Burdon and The Animals and did session work in the mid-seventies. Summers gained fame with The Police, contributing to hits like "Message in a Bottle" and "Every Breath You Take." Post-Police, he pursued a solo career, wrote books, and became a photographer.
