About Ben Monder
Ben Monder is a jazz guitarist and composer, as well as a celebrated fixture in New York's jazz scene since the 1980s. He has collaborated with legends like Maria Schneider, Paul Motian, and David Bowie, even contributing to Bowie’s iconic album Blackstar. Ben has released acclaimed albums as a bandleader, including Oceana, Amorphae, and Planetarium (2024). A member of The Bad Plus, he continues to push musical boundaries with his complex yet lyrical compositions and performances.
