Born in São Paulo, Brazil, and currently based in New York City, Chico Pinheiro is a highly acclaimed and multi-Grammy-nominated artist, recognized as a major creative force in contemporary jazz. Chico's musical journey began at the age of 6 when he picked up the guitar, and by the age of 13, he was already working professionally.
