"For us, the name D'Addario has become synonymous with quality. So, whether it’s strings, tuners, other accessories, if D'Addario makes it, that's what we get."
Davisson Duo
"As frequent participants in guitar festivals and competitions, we have been fortunate to receive and try every major brand of strings. D'Addario strings outperformed every single time. Now we never record or perform on anything but D'Addario.
We love the Silver-Plated Copper Wound Dynacore Hard Tension Basses (SDH-3B) in combination with the Hybrid Carbon-G Clear Nylon B/E Hard Tension Trebles (HGH-3T). That combination gives us unmatched resonance, clarity, dynamic range, and depth for live performances. We use the normal tension Pro-Arté strings (EJ45) when we record because of their warmth, balance, and less pronounced attack."

ABOUT Davisson Duo
21st century musicians Jack and Elle Davisson's exceptional artistry, skill and lyricism belie the fact that this brother and sister are just teenagers. Since 2017, their thoughtful phrasing, incredible colors, meticulous technique, and expressive playing have earned them a following across the country. Still in high school, the duo is developing a reputation for fusing well-known war horses with modern compositions, creating intriguing programs that present pieces in a fresh, modern way.
Jack (born 2005) and Elle (born 2007) study with Christopher Mallett at the California Conservatory of Music. Both Davissons have already received numerous prizes and honors including at the Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition, the James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition, and the United States International Music Competition.
As a duo, Elle and Jack have appeared multiple times on NPR's From the Top, a nationally aired radio program, as well as on NPR Music's Tiny Desk concert series. They have been featured in numerous articles, including Classical Guitar magazine's Video Pick of the Week and Sunday Prodigy series. The Davisson Duo is a prizewinner of the 2021 Southern Guitar Festival & Competition and of both the 2018 and 2019 Guitar Foundation of America International Ensemble Competitions. They have recorded with Guitar Salon International and performed on the Omni Foundation of the Arts concert series.
Strong believers in equal access to music and music education, Jack and Elle have also performed countless benefit concerts in schools, retirement homes, vaccine clinics, and other community centers. In addition, they founded two music enrichment programs providing free group guitar classes- at a VA hospital and a center for under-resourced youth- and devote much of their time to teaching.
