"D'Addario products provide the tone, volume and longevity I've come to depend on, ever since beginning to perform as a nine-year-old. At 34, I've already been using their incredible strings for 25 years!"

"I use D'Addario EJ75 mandolin strings. Truth be told, I started using these as a kid, because my hero, Ronnie McCoury used them! He's still a hero, and he and I both still use them, which should speak to D'Addario's consistency. Honestly, when I've tested other mandolin string brands, I find the other varieties to be somewhat laughable by comparison."

ABOUT Jacob Jolliff
Jacob Jolliff is one of the country's premier contemporary mandolinists. Jacob was a member of the beloved New England roots band Joy Kills Sorrow, while attending Berklee School of Music on a full scholarship. In 2012, Jolliff won the National Mandolin Championship in Winfield, KS.
A fixture of the national bluegrass community, he has collaborated and shared the stage with Darol Anger, Sam Bush, Ronnie McCoury, Jerry Douglas, Tony Trischka, and David Grisman to name a few. When Joy Kills Sorrow disbanded in 2014, Jolliff got the call to join Yonder Mountain String Band and toured full time with them until the end of 2019. This last year, Jolliff released a new album with his group, The Jacob Jolliff Band, and was also on the road as part of Béla Fleck's My Bluegrass Heart.
